Riley & Kerrigan's Surprise Proposal at JC Raulston Arboretum
Riley was living in New York when he started planning a surprise proposal to his girlfriend, Kerrigan, here in Raleigh. He flew into town without her knowing and worked with me to plan the whole thing at JC Raulston Arboretum. With a little help from Kerrigan's mom and sister, the plan came together perfectly and the proposal couldn't have been more special!!
They told Kerrigan to dress up for dinner, and just before heading out, asked her to make one quick pit stop. Instead, she was led to the exact spot Riley had chosen at the arboretum, where he was waiting to surprise her. Her friends were there too, hiding nearby and ready to celebrate with them once she realized what was happening. It was incredibly sweet, and somehow the whole surprise came together without giving anything away.
After the proposal, we spent the next hour exploring the arboretum and taking photos together. There was so much excitement and emotion left over from the surprise, and the result was one of those sessions where everything just seemed to fall into place. A beautiful Raleigh proposal, followed by an hour of celebrating the two of them and this very exciting next chapter.
